Raihan Ahmed Shahin Tailor stands by women to achieve economic independence: Inauguration of Sewing and Handicraft Training Center
Gazipur Correspondent: Raihan Ahmed Shahin (Tailor), a very popular candidate for the upcoming councilor election, has taken an exceptional initiative to make women of all walks of life in Ward No. 23 of Gazipur City Corporation economically independent and skilled. He announced this special initiative at a workshop on women's employment and skill development at a local auditorium in the ward yesterday.
At the same time, he inaugurated a free Handicraft and Tailoring Science Training Center for underprivileged and interested women in the area and distributed high-quality sewing machines among several needy women as an initial step.
Speaking as the chief guest at the event, Raihan Ahmed Shahin Dorji said, "A society or ward will develop as an ideal only when its women can support their families economically in addition to their household chores. Development is not possible by neglecting the mothers and sisters of our ward number 23. If I am elected, I will ensure special loans and training for cottage industries and small businesses for women in every neighborhood of the ward through a combination of government and private donations."
Hundreds of women from the area attended the event and expressed their full support for this visionary and welfare-oriented step of Shahin Dorji. Local women voters said that no councilor candidate has ever thought or worked on such a large scale regarding women's self-employment. The local community believes that this initiative of Raihan Ahmed Shahin Dorji will increase the confidence and social status of women in ward number 23 many times over.
