Youth's role in building a drug-free society is immense: Shahin Dorji while distributing sports equipment in Ward No. 23

Gazipur: "Youth are the backbone of a society. If the youth are busy with sports and constructive activities, it is only a matter of time before drugs, juvenile delinquency and immorality are eradicated from the society." — Raihan Ahmed Shahin Dorji, a councilor candidate for Ward No. 23 of Gazipur City Corporation, made these comments at a youth rally.

With the aim of motivating the youth of the area and building a drug-free ward, this young leader distributed various sports equipment including cricket, football and carrom among the youth at a local field in Ward No. 23 yesterday.

Speaking as the chief guest at the event, Raihan Ahmed Shahin said, "There is a lot of talent among the youth of our ward number 23. Many are going astray due to lack of proper guidance and opportunities. Whether I am elected or not, my social efforts for the welfare of the youth will always continue. We will bring back the atmosphere of play in every neighborhood and utilize the creativity of the youth."

Representatives of the local youth community welcomed Shahin Dorji's initiative at the event and said that no such sustainable initiative has been taken for the mental and physical development of the youth in this ward for a long time. This continuous social work of Raihan Ahmed Shahin Dorji has already had a huge positive impact among the general voters and the youth are looking at him as a symbol of change.
